Hi people.

If you always wanted to make cool title entry for movie, or to animate any typographic logo in innovative way you have to check this one.

Today we will play with a text a little bit. Some of you really insist for some typography tutorial so here it is. This one is quite simple this time. But simple doesn’t mean obvious. In lesson we will use reactor, built-in extension of 3ds max that can handle dynamic simulations. It is very powerful tool that can speed your work up and give great results in terms of realism.

You can download the project files by clicking on this big “download” button below. If you want to start from beginning open Start.max or just open an empty scene and follow the tutorial. If you encounter any problems, you’re stuck or just want to have finished scene to use it in your own twisted experiments , there are End.max file included. Enjoy.

Always wanted to do amazing animation, without complex modeling and endless hours of keyframing? Tune in and watch how to do this using Motion Capture and few cool tricks.

You could recognize this look, from World Cup 2006 Germany tv graphics. When I saw it then, I though that it was very nice and easy to make type of animation. I will always try to deliver complete solution of certain project, so anyone that will watch my tutorial will be able to achieve the same result from scratch. In this particular case I will introduce Particle Flow (great particle tool from 3ds max) and Character Studio. If you like to use some other character animation system which can load Motion Capture files (like CAT which is great plugin too) , feel free to do that. It’s all very similar. I decided to use Character Studio instead of CAT because it is bundled with 3ds Max.

You can download the project files by clicking on this big “download” button below. You will find six files there. If you want to start from beginning open Player.max or import Player.3ds . Files .bip and .bvh are downloaded from mocapdata.com and contains Motion Capture movement that we are going to use. If you encounter any problems, you’re stuck or just want to have finished scene to use it in your evil masterplan, there are PlayerFin.max and PlayerFinVray.max. Enjoy.
